Talking therapies can help all sorts of people in lots of different situations. You may also hear them referred to as counselling, talking treatments or psychological therapies. Talking therapy is for anyone who’s going through a bad time or has emotional problems they need help with.

By learning different techniques, I am a more like my old self. It’s not a miracle cure and I’m still in pain but not as bad as I was and I am now a lot happier then I was and kinder to myself. By learning these techniques, I am now able to walk around my garden every morning. I have better sleep quality at night.

Please if you’re thinking it’s not for me like I did, give it a go, it is life changing! I know I’m never going to run a marathon but I am able to be more and deal with my pain and depression better. There are bad days but not ALL bad days and that is the difference. My therapist was fantastic and because of her and the techniques she implemented I’m starting to feel human and like myself. Please don’t think that what goes on in your head doesn’t affect your pain because it does. I am still amazed that changing my thoughts as had such a big impact on my life and I have become more active too. Thank you!”
